Pioneer in Clay Science Lecture

Award description

To recognize research contributions that have led to important new directions in clay minerals science and technology.

Nomination Guidelines

Selection: The lecturer is selected by the local organizing committee of the CMS Annual Meeting at which a certificate of recognition will be presented. The intent is to select a person who will strengthen the technical program, which may include a symposium in an area where the Pioneer Awardee is recognized for his/her seminal contributions.

Expectations: The Lecturer shall be expected to be in attendance for the entire CMS meeting and shall present a plenary lecture on the subject for which he/she is being recognized.

Expenses: The CMS will pay an honorarium and travel expenses specified in the letter sent.  The local Organizing Committee will pay the registriation fee.
