Occurrence of a Tabular Halloysite in a Texas Soil

Abstract: A substantially homogeneous mineral fraction from a Katy soil profile in Fort Bend County, Texas, consists of a tabular kaolin group mineral with the physical and chemical properties characteristic of a nearly dehydrated halloysite, retaining only a small excess of water.
